Gysi’s Encounters
with Nino de Angelo
02.11.2026 - 19:30
Neues Kunstmuseum Tübingen, Schaffhausenstraße 123, 72072 Tübingen
From summer 2025, Gregor Gysi will meet people at the Neues Kunstmuseum who have something to say and have experienced something: prominent contemporary witnesses from public life in media, culture, politics, show business, music, sport and society.
Hardly any German statesman has been so reviled, and hardly any has fought his way so successfully through the thicket of hostility—towards recognised prominence and to become one of the most important protagonists of left-wing thought in Germany.
Gregor Gysi, born in Berlin in 1948, is a lawyer, author, podcaster, presenter and politician. From 1990–2002 and from 2005–2015, he was parliamentary group leader of the PDS and, respectively, of the party “Die Linke” in the Bundestag. There, from 2020–2023, he was foreign policy spokesperson for the Left parliamentary group. Gregor Gysi is also a successful author, including with his bestselling autobiography “One Life Is Not Enough”.
In entertaining conversations with depth and plenty of humour, Gregor Gysi presents a guest at the Neues Kunstmuseum and talks with them about life and lived experience.
