Neues Kunstmuseum Tübingen, Schaffhausenstraße 123, 72072 Tübingen

Aaron Parks is considered one of the most versatile and in-demand pianists of our time. The exceptional talent began his career at the age of eighteen in Terence Blanchard’s band. His lyrical and creative playing is highly regarded by many colleagues. He has played with Joshua Redman, Eric Harland, Billy Hart, among others, and recorded 3 albums for ECM under his own name. Since 2009, he has been part of the Blue Note family. His very first album for Blue Note, “Invisible Cinema,” is now considered a blueprint for atmospheric, indie-tinged jazz.

His current quartet, “Little Big,” is the culmination of his creativity. With influences from modern jazz, pop, R, hip-hop, indie rock, and world music, the band seamlessly and originally merges everything to create a new, unique style.

This is also confirmed by a critic who states: “With this groove-oriented music, Little Big completely avoids the ‘fusion’ trap by weaving the various textures, influences, and colors into an independent, global musical language,”

Aaron Parks impresses not only on piano and various keyboards but also as a composer of melodies that are both complex and catchy, combined with pulsating rhythms to create jazzy earworms.

New Zealand-born guitarist Greg Tuohey is a fixture in the New York scene. As a busy studio musician, he long explored a variety of musical genres before returning to his jazz roots in recent years.

Bassist David Ginyard is a long-standing member of Little Big and has played with virtually every significant artist in the creative fusion jazz scene, impressing with his very groovy and solid bass playing.

JK Kim is an up-and-coming South Korean drummer who has built a considerable reputation for himself in the American scene from Boston.
