In conversation with <strong>Gero von Boehm<\/strong>, she will discuss New York&#8217;s cultural life, her collaboration with <strong>Andy Warhol<\/strong>, and the major issues of our time. <\/p><p>Look forward to the uncompromising, biting, and sharp-witted views of Fran Lebowitz. Her career is diverse: bestselling author, columnist, actress, and the subject of two internationally acclaimed documentaries. <\/p><p><strong>Martin Scorsese<\/strong> created a cinematic tribute to her with the celebrated Netflix series <em>Pretend It\u2019s a City<\/em>. As part of her European tour, she is now making an exclusive stop in southern Germany \u2013 at the NKT in T\u00fcbingen. <\/p><p>The evening will be held in <strong>English<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Frances Ann \u201cFran\u201d Lebowitz was born in <strong>New Jersey<\/strong>. Her most famous works are <em>Metropolitan Life<\/em> and <em>Social Studies<\/em>, which were collected in the 1994 volume <em>The Fran Lebowitz Reader<\/em>. The German translation was published in 2022 under the title <em>New York und der Rest der Welt<\/em>.  <\/p><p><strong>Gero von Boehm<\/strong> (<em>1954, Hanover<\/em>) is a TV author, documentary filmmaker, and founder of the production company interscience film. He has interviewed the likes of Stephen Hawking, Umberto Eco, and Susan Sontag, and has received numerous awards.
