Rolf Zuckowski, recipient of the Federal Cross of Merit, has shaped entire generations with his songs. “How wonderful that you were born” or “In the Christmas Bakery” have by now become true classics—without them no children’s birthday party can do anymore, and they create the most exuberant atmosphere in the pre-Christmas baking kitchen. In his songs, it is always about children and families.
In conversation with artist, author and publisher Sarah Settgast, the musician and composer talks about how he became who he is and what lies at the heart of his music for children and adults. Rolf Zuckowski and Sarah Settgast discuss creative processes. An encounter for young and old—certainly with music too, after all Rolf’s songs also reflect a piece of all-German history.

All floors of the NKT are accessible by elevator, which features wide doors and low-positioned controls for wheelchair users and children. On the first floor, the restrooms are barrier-free. Sufficient seating is available on all floors and in the exhibition rooms. A wheelchair can be borrowed at the ticket desk.
