Mental Kaleidoscopes

Throughout their lives, people accumulate formative memories that are linked to particular emotions and ultimately stored in memory. I imagine that these memories are stored in our minds as individual constructs in the form of images, and that they are always in relation to one another, like in a kaleidoscope. I call this the human "Mental Kaleidoscope." Natalie Neulinger's "Mental Kaleidoscopes" are fascinating, multi-layered, partially transparent objects.
ARTIST STATEMENT
"My works are visual spaces of thought - multidimensional,
fragmented, intense. The 3D photo collages allow inner states
to emerge outward and play with subjective perception,
depth and memory."
