Frequently Asked Questions - FAQs
Dear visitors of the Neues Kunstmuseum Tübingen (NKT),
Are you planning your museum visit with us? Here we have compiled the most important questions and answers for you.
Where can I get my tickets for the NKT?
You can conveniently book your tickets online in advance on our NKT website. Go to Tickets and follow the link that will redirect you to the Eventim page. There you can book and pay for your tickets online. This will save you longer waiting times at our box office, and you can proceed directly to the scan.
If you require physical tickets, for example, to give as a gift, we also offer ticket shipping. You can find this under: https://shop.art28.com/Museums-Shop/Tickets/
Why does my online ticket always show 10 AM?
The 10 AM time is a fixed default setting by Eventim and refers only to our opening time. However, your ticket has no time limit. You can visit the NKT flexibly during our complete opening hours.
Can I also buy my tickets at the NKT?
Our box office is open during museum opening hours from 10 AM to 4:30 PM. You can also purchase your tickets at our box office. We ask for your understanding that there may be longer waiting times here – especially on weekends. Therefore, we recommend purchasing your tickets online in advance.
How much do tickets for the Elvira Bach exhibition at the NKT cost?
Adults: 16.50 Euros;
Reduced (students, seniors, people with severe disabilities, groups of 10 or more): 13.50 Euros

Is the NKT barrier-free?
All paths to and within the NKT are barrier-free. You can easily reach us via a spacious ramp leading to and from the museum entrance. Inside the museum, an elevator takes you to all floors from the basement (with cloakrooms and restrooms) to the 2nd floor (with our museum shop and gallery). On the 1st floor, you will find our exhibition area and a barrier-free toilet, so you have everything comfortably on one level.
Where can I safely store my luggage during my museum visit?
You can store your bags and backpacks in our spacious lockers in the basement. All lockers have an automatic locking system. Instructions are available at our box office and are also displayed in our basement.

Are motorhomes allowed in the NKT car park?
Motorhomes cannot park in our NKT car park. We have thin asphalt that is unfortunately not designed for motorhomes. Therefore, we ask you to look for a motorhome pitch elsewhere. Towards Egeria / dirt road, there are several motorhomes. Please look for a pitch there. To do this, drive via Bismarckstraße towards Hornbach.
Are dogs allowed in the NKT?
Unfortunately, your four-legged friends cannot come into the museum. We ask for your understanding and consideration for people with dog hair allergies. Also, out of consideration for the exhibited artworks and our lenders, we unfortunately cannot allow dogs into the NKT.
On hot days, we ask you not to leave your four-legged friends in the vehicle, but rather to securely tie them up in a shady spot outside – for example, to the left side of the main entrance, in front of the Art 28 entrance. We will gladly provide a bowl of water if needed. Please speak to us!
