Committed to the diversity of artistic expression and its responsibility towards future generations of artists, the NKT considers it a central mission to offer young artists a visible platform. This space was deliberately created to give a voice to emerging artists – especially those who work with unusual materials, techniques, and ideas.
Especially in the early phase of an artistic career, visibility is not a given. The opportunity to present works to a broad, interested audience means not only recognition but also encouragement. We therefore understand this space as an opportunity – for the artists who dare to step into the public eye here, as well as for you, our visitors.
Mark Krause – Soundwaves
What happens when painting and music hear each other? Mark Krause provides a vivid answer: For over twenty years, the Tübingen-based artist has performed as a live painter.
Sophie Godzik – Coexistences. The Animal We See
In the exhibition Coexistences. In “The Animal We
See”, artist and art historian Sophie Godzik explores questions of coexistence between different species. The works on display were created in the context of her doctoral project, which engages with questions in Human-Animal Studies.
Karina Mack – InKARMAtion
Karina Mack, who works under her artist name KARMA, lives and works in Bad Neustadt an der Saale, Bavaria. From an early age, she discovered her deep connection to painting and the magic of art. Her artist name represents the idea of cause and effect, which is reflected in all her works.
Natalie Neulinger – Mental Kaleidoscopes
Throughout their lives, people accumulate formative memories that are linked to particular emotions and ultimately stored in memory. I imagine that these memories are stored in our minds as individual constructs in the form of images, and that they are always in relation to one another, like in a kaleidoscope.
