Anne Geddes
Until Now

Until Now – Anne Geddes’ first museum exhibition
For the first time, internationally acclaimed photographer Anne Geddes is presenting her life’s work in a museum. More than 150 works spanning four decades offer a comprehensive insight into her extraordinary visual world at the NKT. Geddes became world-famous with iconic portraits of babies – imaginative, colourful, delicate and yet powerful. Her motifs celebrate the beauty and uniqueness of life’s beginning – while also drawing attention to children’s vulnerability.
The exhibition is divided into ten thematic sections, including moving black-and-white series and powerful portraits of children who have survived serious illnesses. Upstairs, a specially produced film offers personal insights into the artist’s life and outlook.
Anne Geddes has been photographing since 1982, now lives in New York, and together with her husband Kel is committed worldwide to protecting children. Her images are a tribute to childhood – and a call to protect it.
