Working Student: Visitor Services & Art Education (m/f/d)
15 Hours/Week – Working Student Position – Neues Kunstmuseum Tübingen
The Neues Kunstmuseum Tübingen is a vibrant venue for contemporary art in Tübingen. We are seeking a working student (m/f/d) for visitor services and art education (15 hrs./week) – ideal for students of art history, cultural studies, museology, cultural management, education, or related fields. The museum is open Tue–Sun from 10 AM–5 PM; shifts are aligned with opening hours.
Your Responsibilities:
- Reception and assistance for visitors, cash register system and ticket sales
- Telephone inquiries and support during evening events and exhibition openings
- Sales and management of the museum shop
- Art consultation and knowledgeable information about exhibitions and artists
- Conducting tours for individual and group visitors
- Participation in exciting projects
Your Profile:
- Ongoing studies in art history, cultural studies, museology, cultural management, education, or similar
- Interest and knowledge in contemporary art, particularly Pop Art
- Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for art education
- Friendly demeanor, reliability, and flexibility (including weekends and evenings)
- Excellent German language skills (C1/C2), good English skills desired (B2)
We Offer:
- Working student position with 15 hrs./week, easily compatible with studies. Additional compensation for shifts on Sundays and public holidays.
- Six-month contract with the desire for long-term collaboration, as well as personal training and room for individual educational approaches
- Participation in exciting exhibition and museum projects
- Practical experience in art education, friendly team, and fair compensation by agreement
